How to Get and Use Wrathful Invokers in Diablo 4: A Simple Guide

Simply you craft Wrathful Invokers, but it’s a roll of the dice.

Wrathful Invokers are a rare item in Diablo 4. They are used to summon an Elite Enemy at the end of a Malignant Tunnel. Defeating this enemy drops a Wrathful Heart, which provides powerful buffs when socketed into jewelry. These items were introduced in Diablo 4’s Season 1, titled “Season of the Malignant”.

Crafting Wrathful Invokers

You cannot directly craft a Wrathful Invoker from Cormond’s Workbench. Instead, you must rely on luck to find one of these scarce items in Diablo 4. Visit Cormond’s Workbench to perform. You can find the main workbench southwest of Ked Bardu in Dry Steppes, or another one in the Fractured Peaks capital Kyovoshad, just west of the waypoint.

Interact with a workbench to open the Craft menu. Here you can make a Brutal, Devious, or Vicious Malignant Invoker, but not a Wrathful Invoker directly. To get a Wrathful Invoker you must craft an Uncertain Invoker, found under the Crafted Cache heading. This offers a random chance of yielding a Wrathful Invoker or one of the three other common variants. To craft an Uncertain Invoker, you will have to spend materials harvested from defeating Malignant enemies and salvaging Diablo 4 Malignant Hearts in addition to some gold: 40 x Brutal Malignant Ichor, 40 x Vicious Malignant Ichor, 40 x Devious Malignant Ichor, and 1,000 Gold.

How to use Wrathful Invokers 

Once you have your Wrathful Invoker, head to any Malignant Tunnel dungeon across the map and complete it. At the end of the tunnel, activate the Wrathful Outgrowth node located in the Tunnel’s Outgrowth. There is always one Wrathful Outgrowth node and another of one of the three other Malignant types to choose from. Use your Wrathful Invoker on this node and defeat the monster that surfaces to get your heart.
